Discover, learn, and celebrate.
We are a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to preserving, protecting, and sharing the history that shapes the Village of Marvin. As our community grows, we work to ensure that Marvin's heritage remains a source of pride, identity, and connection for all residents.
Our Mission
* Preservation of historic sites, documents, photographs, and artifacts
* Education through accessible programs and resources
* Community Engagement that strengthens civic pride and belonging
Why This Matters
With rapid development and population growth, irreplaceable pieces of Marvin's past are at risk. Cemeteries, homesteads, family records, and oral histories can disappear without intentional preservation. Our work ensures that Marvin's future is grounded in a clear understanding of its past.
Our Goals for the Community
* Document and preserve local historic sites
* Build a public digital archive
* Create educational programs for families, schools, and new residents
* Partner with the Village on long-term planning
* Host heritage-focused community events, including America 250 initiatives
A Volunteer-Driven Effort
Every project and program is powered by residents who care deeply about this community. We are committed to making history accessible, welcoming, and meaningful to everyone - long-time families and new neighbors alike.

Honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary with local history projects, educational programs, and community events.

In partnership with the Museum of the Waxhaws, we are helping bring this historic event to life through research, programming, and community engagement.

Ongoing efforts to collect, digitize, and protect Marvin’s historical materials.
